Looking beyond the classical and more to the innovative
and contemporary, Amor@rt invites artists and designers from all over
Europe to stake their own unique claim on what makes art “erotic”. From
artboard to film, textile to installation, the conceptually deep
to the aesthetically sound, entrants are asked to draw upon their
personal choice of form to express their own eroticism and sensuality.
As Director of Exhibits, Dr. Sarah Brewer comments, “We know
the artists who enter this competition will be those wishing to redefine
the image and understanding of erotic art”. |
|
Amor@rt will be judged by a panel consisting of
representatives from London’s leading art schools and well-known
UK sex therapists.
Successful Amor@rt entries will form the launch
exhibition for Amora, which will open later this year in the West
End. All exhibition artists will be given a commercial contract with
The Academy for art sales, with a £10,000 prize fund and a
number of resident artist positions being available for winning entries.
Over 2,000 sq ft of space has been made available for the Amor@rt exhibition, for which the main showing will last for two months duration.
However, many pieces will be kept and displayed periodically over the
course of the year to the 600,000 visitors expected to visit Amora |

Amora takes visitors on a journey in to sex and relationships. We would
like entrants to select one of the five stages in our journey and communicate
what that stage says to them.
- Attraction and Dating
- Love and Relationships
- Orgasms and Physiology
- Fantasy and Diversity
- Sexual Wellbeing
Your artwork can take any format – however,
the judging
panel needs to initially screen and review entries before final selection. |
|
For the initial selection, your entry should take the form of a format
that is email-friendly. E.g. Photo (JPEG), Movie (MOV, MPEG), Sound (MP3).
You can also send us a direct web link to your work if you have hosted
on your own website. (This is preferable for any files over 5MB)
